About This Blog

The evolution of this blog came about as a desire to share thoughts, ideas, research and inspirations about what I have a passion for: educating young people.

Education is a topic that effects everyone and that most people have a strong opinion about. What should schools be teaching children? What role does technology play or should play in the education of young people? How will American kids compete in a global world? Should I homeschool, go public, go private, go charter, go virtual? Never in history has there been such a plethora of options in educating children. The questions are endless and the concerns and worries boundless.

As a parent of three kids I struggle with these same questions. I want to give my children the best educational experience I can and help them become life long learners. I want them to love to learn and enjoy asking questions about their world. I want them to use their learning to make a difference in the world.

My hope is that this blog will encourage you to stay active and involved in your child's education. My goal is to provide you with tools to help you stay in tune with your child's learning, know what your child should be mastering, finding support early if your child is struggling, and to encourage you to stay patient and enjoy the educational journey.
